In 2009, two friends sat in a small apartment in Austin brainstorming an idea: bridging the gap between people with great food. They had no money, no connections, and no idea how to make it come to life but their vision was bigger than their lack of resources: The Vision: Load A Bowl.
After a few stumbling blocks, several failed attempts, and ultimately a break with a spotlight on Food Network (with a “free” truck lease). These two high school pals founded Load A Bowl in 2014.
Fellowship over Food:
The idea behind Load A Bowl was the "brain child" of Tanner. He wanted a way to honor his hometown (Killeen) by bringing a wide variety of food under one umbrella. One day in 2009 he happened to mention it to Brandon who realized this was something special: a place where everyone could come and enjoy an experience with each other. With Tanner’s culinary background and Brandon’s business acumen the tandem (and term) Entreepreneur was born.
After years of only serving mostly corporate clients and those in the “know”, Load A Bowl, Voted Austin’s most underrated food truck, is now planning on its Grand Opening a truck to the public. With a wide variety of food, "kickin that no diggity" radio, and a team focused on service over self, we look forward to serving you and your family very soon. We invite you join us on this journey as we grow across the state and across the nation!
Load It. Roll It. Feed The World.
